The UFC’s return to Houston will feature an adopted son.
Yadier del Valle will have a homecoming of sorts when he battles Jordan Leavitt, both fighters announced Monday on Instagram. The event, UFC Fight Night 267, takes place Feb. 21 at Toyota Center.

Del Valle (10-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) trains under renowned coach Bob Perez at Mainstreet Boxing and Muay Thai, the gym that also is the training home of UFC heavyweight star Derrick Lewis.
So far in the UFC, del Valle has looked nothing short of dominant as he’s submitted both Connor Matthews and Isaac Dulgarian in short order.
Leavitt (12-3 MMA, 5-3 UFC) is known not only for his slick submission skills but also his unique personality. Six of his eight UFC fights have ended inside the distance, including a quick submission of Kurt Holobaugh in his most recent outing in May.
