An important featherweight matchup joins UFC Fight Night 267 as a standout supporting act.
MMA Junkie’s 2025 Under-the-Radar Fighter of the Year, Melquizael Costa, finally has his marquee fight as he’ll battle perennially ranked Dan Ige at the Feb. 21 event from Toyota Center in Houston.

Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. MMA Fighting was first to report the bout.
Costa (25-7 MMA, 6-2 UFC) exploded in 2025 with four wins in as many fights during the calendar year. He racked up wins over Andre Fili, Christian Rodriguez, and Julian Erosa before a brutal head kick knockout of Morgan Charriere to close things out.
Ige (19-10 MMA, 11-9 UFC) aims to bounce back from a unanimous decision loss to Patricio “Pitbull” in July. The defeat was his third in four fights, though the other two losses came against stiff competition in top contenders Lerone Murphy and Diego Lopes.
With the addition, the UFC Fight Night 267 lineup includes:
