UFC legend Diego Sanchez has been arrested.
Police say Sanchez fired a gun out of the window of a Jeep Gladiator as it passed the scene of a crash on a New Mexico highway. KRQE first reported the news.
Police pursued and pulled it over. They determined Sanchez was a passenger in the vehicle. The driver was not arrested.
Sanchez denied shooting a gun but acknowledged there was a handgun in the car. Police say they found three rounds on the passenger side before the driver admitted Sanchez fired the gun. An empty black Glock 42 was also found in the vehicle.
Per online records, Sanchez was charged with shooting at or from a motor vehicle (no bodily harm) and negligent use of a firearm (discharge). He remains in custody at the time of publication.
