UFC On Paramount+ Launch ‘Already Better Than ESPN’

by

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) officially launched its new interface and library on Paramount+ this weekend and fight fans are having a field day.

In case you didn’t know, UFC on ESPN is no longer a thing. The premier MMA organization struck a massive $7.7 billion deal with Paramount+ last year to begin streaming fights, live content, and everything UFC beginning in 2026. It’s a massive move for the promotion and fight fans as the long-standing pay-per-view (PPV) model will be a thing of the past.

Well, it’s now 2026 and UFC has officially made the move over to Paramount+. The first official event will be UFC 324 on Jan. 24 from Las Vegas, Nevada, but fight fans can now log on, check out the new UFC interface, watch some old fights, and gear up for a new year of cheap content and memorable fights.

As expected, fight fans carried some reservations into the new year without knowing how the new UFC hub will look, feel, and work. Of course, there have already been some early struggles as Paramount+ works to roll out all of the cool features and search tools, but for the most part fight fans are happy to be moving away from ESPN.

MMA reporter Ariel Helwani got the positive feedback rolling on Friday night before a collection of fans chimed in to share in the Paramount+ love. Check it out below and let us know your initial thoughts on UFC’s new interface and library.

“The ads in the middle of fights need to stop – can I upgrade my Paramount+ sub to not see any ads? I haven’t figured this one out yet.”

“Paramount is already a better experience than ESPN and Fight Pass… THIS will be the pirate killer in my opinion.”

“Can’t search a fighters name and see all their fights. I’m sure they’ll add it, but impossible to find fights for a lot of guys right now.”

“Such an upgrade.”

“I logged on and almost shed a tear. To see fights from 2002 when I was 12 is crazy. Wish I got the ad free version.”

“Already doing things so much better than ESPN. I watched a ton of fights last night. It feels like Paramount is actually proud of the product while ESPN felt like they wanted to punish us for loving the sport.”

“Loving the new page so far.”

“This is amazing.”

“Huge upgrade!“

“Bar was low. ESPN app sucked and glitched.”

“For the TV app it’s still a bit wonky to navigate.”
