Volkan Oezdemir bounced back into the win column with another first-round knockout.
On the main card of UFC Fight Night 265, Oezdemir (21-8 MMA, 9-7 UFC) quickly handled Alonzo Menifield in their light heavyweight bout in Doha, Qatar. The fight was officially over at 1:27 in the first Round.

From the moment the fight began, Ozedemir put heavy pressure on Menifield, keeping his back foot close to the fence. Before Menifield knew it, Ozedemir landed a beautiful knee, followed by a fight-ending blitz of punches.

With the win, Oezdemir bounces back from a unanimous decision loss to Carlos Ulberg last year. The former title challenger is 3-1 over his last four outings, with each win coming by first-round stoppage.
On the other side, Menifield fails to make it three in a row, as he entered on the heels of decision wins over Julius Walker and Oumar Sy. He’s 2-3 over his last five, with each loss a stoppage.
