There have been 21 maximum 147 breaks made in the previous 48 editions of the UK Championship.
Willie Thorne compiled the first one against Tommy Murphy in 1987.
Ronnie O’Sullivan displayed incredible composure to make a 147 in the final frame of his semi-final match against Mark Selby in 2007.
Neil Robertson holds the distinction of being the only player to achieve a 147 in a UK Championship final, doing so in the sixth frame of his 2015 triumph against Liang Wenbo.
The 2012 championship featured three 147s with Andy Hicks, Jack Lisowski and John Higgins all achieving the maximum.
There have been a record 15 147 breaks so far this season – could there be another name to add to the list of UK Championship maximum-makers?
