The USA Men’s Eagles will have a trip to the Caucasus Mountains in November. As part of the annual November Rugby Internationals, one of the USA’s test matches will be away against Georgia. The fixture will be a week two match in November; the date is set for November 15.
Georgia and the USA have met on seven previous occasions. The USA has three wins and Georgia has four. International competition between the teams began in 2009. As past of the Churchill Cup, the USA hosted the Lelos in Denver, Colorado and completed a 31-12 win.
The teams met again in November 2010, this time in Georgia. The Lelos were 19-17 winners in Tbilisi. The most recent meeting was also in Tbilisi. Georgia were 22-7 winners in what was a Rugby World Cup 2023 warm-up match.
The venue is unconfirmed for the November 2025 match. Reports out of Georgia also list Samoa and Japan as facing Georgia in the November Internationals.
Both the USA and Samoa will be competing to join Georgia and Japan at Rugby World Cup 2027. Japan automatically qualified, based on Rugby World Cup 2023 results, while Georgia qualified earlier this year.
Australia 2027 will be Georgia’s seventh consecutive Rugby World Cup. The USA are looking to qualify after missing out on France 2023. The USA, Canada, Samoa and Tonga are competing for three direct spots on the line in the upcoming Pacific Nations Cup.
