The penultimate UFC pay-per-view event of 2025 produced massive changes in divisional and pound-for-pound rankings.

The main card of the event at Madison Square Garden in New York saw Islam Makhachev become a two-weight UFC champion by handily defeating Jack Della Maddalena to claim the welterweight crown. Makhachev vacated the lightweight title to chase history, and now takes the No. 1 spot in welterweight and men’s pound-for-pound rankings.

In the co-feature, Valentina Shevchenko made her women’s flyweight title defense look very easy against former strawweight champion Zhang Weili. Shevchenko was already ranked No. 1 in her division, but she now claims the No. 1 spot in women’s pound-for-pound.

Multiple rising contenders made moves on the undercard as well.
