USA Water Polo to Bestow $25,000 Prize Pool for National League
USA Water Polo on Thursday announced a $25,000 prize pool for the 2026 National League championship.
The prize pool will be divided among the top three teams in the open division. The purse is sponsored by Holos Law Group, LLP., and will be behind the expanded National League tournament that begins Feb. 6 in Southern California and will run through May.
“USA Water Polo is grateful to Holos Law Group, LLP for this very generous sponsorship” USA Water Polo CEO Jamie Davis said. “This prize money will certainly raise the caliber of play in the National League and will provide a platform drawing players and spectators from across the country and around the world. Holos is also supplying additional funding to elevate the league’s excitement and fan experience. I cannot thank Holos enough for their support and vision.”
“Top level competition that comes with prize money helps build excitement not just among the athletes but also the fans,” said Holos managing partner Jon Wieman. “Our fans deserve to see top athletes compete in a highly-competitive league here at home and our age group athletes deserve to see high level water polo played by people they can aspire to become. With this sponsorship, the goal is to help grow the sport in this country and grow this league. I’m confident that the National League can rival those in other countries.”
Teams will be broken into three divisions, with the Blue and Red Conferences in Southern California as well as a Northern California conference. More info on the National League is here.
