Grissom, entering his age-25 season, had lost his grip on a role with Boston since it acquired him for ace Chris Sale in a December 2023 trade with the Braves. The middle infielder spent the entire 2025 season at Triple-A Worcester, where he hit .270 with a .783 OPS in 96 games.
Grissom has a .255 average and .654 OPS across 95 games since debuting in the Majors in 2022.
The 21-year-old Jackson, the younger brother of former big league pitcher Andre Jackson, hit .219 across 10 games at High-A Tri City in 2025, his first pro season.
