Virna Jandiroba and Mackenzie Dern finally get their shot at UFC gold.
They will square off for the vacant UFC strawweight title in the UFC 321 co-main event on Oct. 25 in Abu Dhabi.
UFC CEO Dana White announced this title fight, as well as the complete UFC 321 fight card, during an Instagram Live session Thursday night.
Zhang Weili, the former UFC strawweight champion, has vacated her belt to challenge current UFC flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko in the UFC 322 co-main event on Nov. 15.
Jandiroba (22-3) vaulted herself into title contention with five straight wins, including a unanimous decision win over Yan Xiaonan this past April at UFC 314.
Dern (15-5) has won two straight fights after a two fight skid. She defeated Amanda Ribas via submission (armbar) in her last UFC outing this past January.
Tom Aspinall defends his UFC heavyweight title in the UFC 321 main event against Ciryl Gane. Other fights on the main card, according to White, will be a heavyweight contest between Alexander Volkov vs. Jailton Almeida, a light heavyweight contest between Aleksandar Rakic vs. Azamat Murzakanov, and a bantamweight scrap between Umar Nurmagomedov and Mario Bautista.
