Vote for top Mississippi high school football tight end for 2025 MHSAA, MAIS season

Who is Mississippi’s top tight end entering the 2025 high school football season? MHSAA and MAIS football fans can decide which high school tight end is the best in the state. Now it’s your turn to vote.

Fans may vote in the poll BELOW one time per hour per device. The poll closes at noon on Sunday. The nominees come from the Clarion Ledger’s top tight ends watch list last week.

Vote Mississippi’s top high school football tight end for 2025 MHSAA, MAIS season

Zarkevion Brown, South Pike: Brown recorded 191 receiving yards last season and hauled in eight receptions for a touchdown.

Majure Chandler, Leake Academy: Chandler produced 33 receptions for 389 receiving yards, helping Leake Academy to a 9-4 record.

Ayden Coleman, Louisville: Coleman produced 328 receiving yards with 16 receptions and four touchdowns and helped Louisville to the MHSAA 4A state title game. He holds offers from Jackson State and Alcorn State.

Henry Funchess, Mendenhall: Funchess hauled in 26 receptions, 628 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.

Dylan Harris, Hartfield Academy: Harris had two receiving touchdowns with 315 passing yards and 18 receptions, helping Hartfield Academy win the MAIS Class 6A title.

Caleb Hearn, Coahoma County: Hearn was named to the MAC All-State offensive first team last season, helping Coahoma County to a 5-5 record.

Sameer Hughes, Nanih Waiya: Hearn was named to the MAC All-State offensive first team last season in MHSAA 1A, and also recorded 79 tackles.

Cayden Jones, Bruce: Jones recorded 157 receiving yards, 12 receptions and a touchdown.

Will Jones, Madison-Ridgeland Academy: Jones produced 20 receptions and one touchdown for 263 receiving yards.

Julius Mathis, Holmes County Central: Mathis, the three-star recruit according to 247Sports, recorded 561 receiving yards with 30 receptions and a touchdown. He holds offers from Ole Miss, Memphis and Southern Miss, among others.

TOP RETURNERS BY POSITION: QB | RB | WR | TE | OL | ATH

Braxton Miller, Thrasher: Miller hauled in 18 receptions for 340 receiving yards and two touchdowns while adding 423 all-purpose yards.

Broderick Peters, McComb: Peters, the Southern Miss commit and three-star recruit, transferred from Hammond (La.) to McComb.

Sullivan Reed, Lamar School: Reed recorded 603 receiving yards with 719 all-purpose yards and seven total touchdowns.

Charlie Reynolds, Lumberton: Reynolds was named to the MAC All-State offensive second team last season in MHSAA 1A and recorded 128 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Philip Swann, Starkville: Swann, the three-star, recorded 19 catches for 215 receiving yards through five games played. He holds an offer from Hawaii.
