Warriors Will Not Trade Jonathan Kuminga Uninterested In Adding Buddy Hield Or Moses Moody To Help Deal

The Golden State Warriors are expecting Jonathan Kuminga to be on the roster at the start of this upcoming season, sources told Tim Kawakami of The San Francisco Standard.

Kuminga, who continues to decline the Warriors’ two-year, $45 million offer, will either accept the deal or sign a one-year, $7.9 million qualifying offer.

The team have been “unenthusiastic” about the idea of a Kuminga sign-and-trade from the very start, according to sources.

Joe Lacob continues to back Kuminga and wants to keep him on the roster or get “real value” in a potential trade.

The deadline for Kuminga to accept the Warriors’ qualifying offer is October 1.

Sam Amick of The Athletic adds that the Warriors are also not looking to add either Buddy Hield or Moses Moody to facilitate a Kuminga trade, which would be necessary due to base-year compensation rules.
