Indian wicket-keeper Dhruv Jurel replaced Rishabh Pant in the Indian squad for the West Indies home test and went on to show a masterclass performance behind the wickets.
India is hosting the West Indies for a two-match test series, with the first match underway at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad from the 2nd of October. The Indian team have made some changes in the form of Dhruv Jurel and the return of spinner Kuldeep Yadav.

Dhruv Jurel will have to prove himself in all areas to retain a place in the Indian red-ball side, as Rishabh Pant is likely to return ahead of the next series against South Africa. To prove his merit as an Indian wicket-keeper batter, Jurel looks very determined.

Mohammad Siraj’s second-to-last delivery of the second over of his spell went down the leg side to Tegnarine Chanderpaul, and the left-hander nicked it away, but Jurel’s splendid diving grab helped India draw the first blood.
