Novak Djokovic once again showed why his influence extends far beyond trophies and records.
The 24-time Major winner spent several days training with 14-year-old Greek rising star, Rafael Pagonis.

They met in the gym and took a picture together. Soon after, Novak and Rafael stepped onto the practice court at the Four Seasons Astir Palace in the Greek capital.
One of the most prominent European players of his generation learned from the most accomplished player of all time, enjoying every minute of their practice sessions.
Novak shared a video on his TikTok account. As was expected, it quickly went viral for its symbolism and substance. The footage captured a genuine high-level lesson, with Djokovic fully engaged in shaping the game of one of Europe's most promising juniors.
The Serb focused on two pillars that defined his incredible dominance – the backhand and the return of serve. He shared secrets with Pagonis, explaining the decisive details related to body positioning, timing, balance and core stability.

Rafael learned how to read the rival's serve early and make a decisive first move while attacking the ball to gain an instant advantage. Novak used decades of experience and countless pressure moments to spread his knowledge.
For Pagonis, the experience went far beyond technique. His result and desire to learn and improve have earned him a privilege to share the court with the most accomplished player of our sport.
The young gun learned from the first row what excellence looks like. At an age where inspiration can shape an entire career, moments like this become reference points.
Rafael will try to make a name for himself at U16 and likely U18 events in 2026, and we should see him making his first professional steps at local Futures.
One day, if he claims a Major title, Djokovic would love to see the Greek remember the coaching session from December 2025. After all, it's where a future dream quietly took form.
"Great to spend time with the young Greek player, Rafael Pagonis – a future star of our sport. I hope he remembers this coaching session when he wins his first Major," Novak Djokovic wrote.
