It’s a year of a lot of new faces for the Ohio State football team in 2025. Not only did the program lose 15 players to the NFL, but it’ll also be ushering in a new offensive and defensive coordinator. On the defensive side of the ball, the guy responsible for the culture there will now be former New England Patriots defensive coordinator and Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia.
Most of Buckeye Nation has yet to really get to know Patricia other than a few sound bites and comments made during some of the media opportunities, so there’s plenty to still learn. To help you get to know one of the new guys on the block, the Ohio State football creative team mic’d him up so you can get a feel for his personality and how he interacts with the players.

He has drawn rave reviews so far this year from the coaching staff and players alike, and maybe you too can see why by watching and listening below.
Receiving high praise before the season is one thing, and a great start, but it’ll mean nothing if the defense doesn’t perform in 2025. Something tells me the Buckeyes will be just fine.
