It was, again, another tough week, this time 3-7, thanks to some bad luck in a few games. I got hooked by the USC-Notre Dame game, and Tennessee had what appeared to be a touchdown that would have hit the over called short of the end zone in the final seconds.
But can’t stop, won’t stop. New slate of games, new set of picks. As usual, I’m using the lines over at the FanDuel Sportsbook.

And now, on with this week’s picks…
STANFORD +30.5 at Miami
I have been wrong lately about Miami. I hope, once again, I am wrong about Miami. I’ll still give the Canes the edge here to win by double digits, as Miami has a substantial advantage in the trenches. But I’m not seeing 60-minute football from the Canes, so that makes it hard to trust them to cover a big number.

VIRGINIA -10.5 at UNC
Virginia has certainly looked the part this year of a ranked team, and they go into Chapel Hill and put more misery on Bill Belichick and the Tar Heels.
Ole Miss at Oklahoma; UNDER 53.5
I HATE unders, but OU has the defense to keep Lane Kiffin’s offense in relative check. They also do not, in my humble opinion, have the offense to do their share to get this over this total.
Texas A&M at LSU +2.5
Tiger Stadium at night. Call this one a gut pick. A&M got by Arkansas last week on the road by 3. This will be a much tougher test.
TENNESSEE -8.5 at Kentucky
Kentucky’s defense looked good last week against Texas, but their offense continues to be a problem. Tennessee gets more big plays than they did against Bama last week and win by double digits.

Texas at MISSISSIPPI STATE +7.5
Texas still isn’t right, and they’re in a battle this week in Starkville. Don’t know who wins, but I’ll take the TD and the hook to find out.
ALABAMA -11.5 at South Carolina
The Crimson Tide are rolling. The Gamecocks, conversely, are getting rolled, most recently at home last week by Oklahoma. Another convincing win for Alabama as they remain red hot.
CALIFORNIA +6.5 at Virginia Tech
Travel issues aside, this is a game between two teams who haven’t been playing great lately. I think this will be a bit of a lower scoring slugfest that comes down to the very end. I feel comfortable getting the 6.5-point cushion here with the Bears.

Wisconsin at OREGON -31.5
Wisconsin is so, so bad on offense, and Dante Moore and Oregon will still find a way to get theirs on the offensive end.
UCLA at Indiana; OVER 53.5
Nico Iamaleava has UCLA’s offense playing much better lately. I don’t know if Indiana covers the 24.5, but I think both teams get on the scoreboard plenty to push this past the total.
