A highly anticipated postseason matchup will take place in Honolulu on Christmas Eve, as Cal and Hawaii get ready to face off in the Hawaii Bowl.

Cal has just concluded an interesting 7-5 season, marking the program’s first winning record since 2019. True freshman quarterback Jaron Keawe-Sagapolutele led the Golden Bears to a couple wins over ranked opponents, but Cal’s 31-10 loss to rival Stanford resulted in head coach Justin Wilcox getting fired.
As for Hawaii, this marks the program’s first bowl appearance since 2020. Head coach and Hawaii quarterback legend Timmy Chang has gotten the Rainbow Warriors into shape, going 8-4 on the season and 6-1 at home. Hawaii could benefit once again from a solid home-turf advantage.
