Georgia women’s basketball (15-2, 1-2 SEC) is back on the road before taking a brief break. This time, the Lady Bulldogs are in Columbia, S.C., to face Dawn Staley’s Gamecocks.
South Carolina (16-1, 3-0) is ranked No. 3 in the USA Today Coaches Poll as of Jan. 6. The Gamecocks are coming off a 35-point win (93-58) at Arkansas on Jan. 8, while the Lady Bulldogs lost to LSU at home that day by 21 points (80-59).

Georgia has not won a game against South Carolina since the 2012-13 campaign.
The Lady Bulldogs defeated the Gamecocks 42-40 in Athens on Jan. 13, 2013, and Andy Landers eventually led them to the Elite Eight.
Since that season, which was Staley’s fifth as a head coach, her Gamecock squads have dominated the conference contests between the programs, whether at home or on the road.
