College basketball is back on Monday in Happy Valley. Both the men’s and women’s basketball teams will be opening their new seasons at home on Monday evening, with the Lady Lions tipping off for the first time in Rec Hall on Monday evening.
Penn State hosts Bucknell for an in-state non-conference matchup to start the new women’s basketball season. Head coach Carolyn Kieger is opening her seventh season in Happy Valley as the head coach. Penn State went just 10-19 overall last season with a tough 1-17 record in Big Ten play.

Penn State has won all 15 all-time meetings between the two schools, including last season’s first game of the season. Penn State won last years meeting with Bucknell, 90-68. Gracie Merkle and Moriah Murray each had 20-point efforts in that win.
