The North Carolina Tar Heels, ready to shake off their worst game of the season on Tuesday at NC State, stay on the road for a Saturday afternoon ACC clash.
UNC (20-6, 8-5) will spend its day in Upstate New York, facing the Syracuse Orange in a 1 p.m. rematch. North Carolina won the first meeting 87-77, back in Chapel Hill on February 22, but the times are different in Carolina Blue.

Syracuse (15-12, 6-8 ACC), coincidentally, suffered its worst loss of the season on Monday at Duke. The ACC-leading Blue Devils (24-2, 13-1 ACC) won 101-64, the type of victory to demoralize any opponent.
The Tar Heels don’t have their star post duo of Caleb Wilson or Henri Veesaar, who are both out with injury. In their absences, Zayden High and Jarin Stevenson are getting to prove themselves as reliable frontcourt options – and both are succeeding.
Before getting demolished by Duke, the Orange recorded consecutive, solid home wins against Cal and SMU. Syracuse is a balanced, guard-heavy team led by Donnie Freeman – and a rowdy JMA Wireless Dome crowd may be just what it needs to pull off the upset.
UNC will be tested in its upcoming stretch, facing Syracuse, Louisville, Virginia Tech, Clemson and Duke to close its regular season. North Carolina should pick up a win or two, but post depth is a major concern.
