Tennessee coach Kim Caldwell did not provide an update on Janiah Barker’s status for Lady Vols basketball against Kentucky.
Barker left Tennessee’s win at Alabama on Jan. 18 with an injury and did not return. The senior forward went down with 6:28 left in the game after it appeared she got hit in the face.

“I will get an update later this afternoon and then it’ll be on the injury report this evening,” Caldwell said Jan. 21.
The No. 17 Lady Vols (13-3, 5-0 SEC) host No. 12 Kentucky (17-3, 4-2) at Food City Center on Jan. 22 (6:30 p.m. ET, SEC Network).
Tennessee got first ranked win of the season after beating No. 21 Alabama 70-59 at Coleman Coliseum. Barker had a double-double (10 points, 11 rebounds) in 26 minutes before leaving the game. She also had two assists and two blocks.
Barker has been an integral piece of the Lady Vols’ success this season. She is averaging 14.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.2 steals while shooting 47% from the field and 31.1% on 3-pointers.
