Now that we have reached the midway point of the summer season, many of us are beginning to turn our eyes to the start of a brand new college football season. Expectations are high for Penn State this season after a deep playoff run last year and a roster returning plenty of talent to make another push for a long-awaited national title. But we also want to start gearing up for the season by knowing just what Penn State has to face within the Big Ten.
The Big Ten landed four teams in the College Football Playoff last season with Big Ten champion Oregon, eventual national champion Ohio State, Penn State, and Indiana each representing the conference in the postseason. Early playoff projections are looking for the Big Ten to be well-represented once again this year in the second season of the 12-team College Football Playoff format.
