Where did Alabama women’s basketball ranked following first loss of season

Alabama women’s basketball stayed in the same spot in the polls following its first loss of the season.

In the latest USA TODAY Coaches Poll on Tuesday, Jan, 6, the Crimson Tide (15-1) found themselves ranked 24th again. The Crimson Tide stayed in the same spot but saw Washington jump them as Notre Dame fell below them to No. 25.

The Crimson Tide started the year 14-0 but fell 83-57 to South Carolina before rebounding with a 77-48 win over Arkansas. For the Dec. 30 poll, the Crimson Tide was ranked No. 24.

The Crimson Tide entered the poll Dec. 9 at No. 25 before moving up to No. 24 in the Dec. 16 poll. Alabama had been earning votes in the poll since the preseason poll was released on Oct. 23.

The Crimson Tide will continue SEC play against No. 7 Kentucky at Coleman Coliseum on Thursday at 6 p.m. on SEC Network+.
