Following a 14-0 start to the season Alabama women’s basketball is once again ranked in the latest polls.
In the latest USA TODAY Coaches Poll on Tuesday, Dec. 23, the Crimson Tide (14-0) found themselves ranked 25. It’s a one-spot drop from the previous poll, but the Crimson Tide did earn 24 more points in the voting.

The Crimson Tide entered the poll Dec. 9 at No. 25 before moving up to No. 24 in the Dec. 16 poll. Alabama had been earning votes in the poll since the preseason poll was released on Oct. 23.
The Crimson Tide is off to a 14-0 start, its best in program history. The start also ties the longest winning streak in program history, tying the 1996-97 team. Alabama has outscored its opponents by an average of 25 points per game to open the year.
The Crimson Tide will open SEC play on the road against No. 3 South Carolina on Jan. 1. The matchup will tip at 1 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
