Alabama jumped a spot in the USA TODAY Sports women’s basketball coaches poll on Tuesday, Dec. 30.
Riding on a near three week break of play during the holidays, the Crimson Tide is reaping the benefits of an undefeated 14-0 start, jumping to No. 24 from a No. 25 earned spot Dec. 23.

Alabama entered the poll Dec. 9 at No. 25 before moving up to No. 24 in the Dec. 16 poll. The Crimson Tide has been earning votes since the preseason poll was released Oct. 23.
Alabama’s 14-0 start is the best in program history. The record also ties the longest winning streak in the Crimson Tide’s history, tying the 1996-97 team.
Alabama will travel to take on No. 3 South Carolina to open SEC play Thursday, Jan. 1. The matchup will tip at 1 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
