Louisville women’s basketball went 1-1 to start the season and dropped two spots to No. 22 in the latest AP Top 25 rankings released Monday.
The Cardinals opened the season with a 79-66 loss to top-ranked UConn before beating Northern Kentucky, 89-61, in their home opener Sunday. After getting off to slow starts, the Cardinals scored 33 fourth-quarter points against the Norse to run away with the victory. Laura Ziegler averaged 12.5 points and 14.5 rebounds in her first two games with Louisville.

Louisville will play three of its next four games at home, starting with a 7 p.m. contest against Colorado on Wednesday. Its lone road game over the next two weeks is its ACC opener at Clemson at 3 p.m. Nov. 16.
