Where Vanderbilt women rank in college basketball polls after beating Kentucky

After briefly falling out of the top five, Vanderbilt women’s basketball moved back up in the AP poll after a road win over Kentucky.

The Commodores (22-2, 8-2 SEC) moved up two spots after defeating the Wildcats in Lexington, 84-83, on Feb. 5.

Vanderbilt is set to face Oklahoma (17-5, 5-4) at Memorial Gymnasium on Feb. 9 (8 p.m. CT, ESPN2). The Sooners are ranked No. 10 in the AP poll with the USA TODAY Coaches Poll set to release Feb. 10.

The Commodores are led by the SEC’s leading scorer, Mikayla Blakes, who averages 24.8 points per game. She has seven 30-point games this season, including a 37-point performance against Kentucky.
