Vanderbilt women’s basketball has moved into the top 10 of the AP Poll, with a No. 7 ranking β its highest since 2007.
The Commodores (15-0, 2-0 SEC) won at Arkansas to start SEC play, then beat LSU at home on Jan. 4 for the program’s first win over a then-top five opponent under Shea Ralph.

Vanderbilt is ranked fourth among SEC teams, behind Texas, South Carolina and Kentucky. The Commodores are one of four undefeated teams remaining in women’s college basketball.
Star guard Mikayla Blakes leads the SEC with 25.2 points per game while also averaging 4.7 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 4.6 steals per game.
