Wisconsin basketball sits as a No. 9 seed in CBS Sports’ latest bracketology update.
The Badgers sit at 16-6 (8-3 Big Ten) at this late stage of the season, with just over one month remaining until postseason play begins. The team is the winner of seven of its last eight, including a notable road triumph over No. 2 Michigan.

That stretch of winning vaulted Wisconsin back into the projected NCAA Tournament field. The team was on the outside looking in entering the 2026 calendar year, following a disappointing stretch of play through its nonconference schedule.
Wisconsin still has its work cut out for it through the remainder of the Big Ten slate. Up next is a road trip to Indiana on Saturday, immediately followed by contests at No. 5 Illinois and home vs. No. 10 Michigan State. Continued winning would push the Badgers, who are just 1-4 in Quad 1 games thus far, into the middle-seed range. The opposite, meanwhile, could push the team closer to the tournament bubble.
