Anthony Hernandez established his dominance against another relevant name in the middleweight division on Saturday when he beat Roman Dolidze in the UFC on ESPN 72 main event.
Hernandez (15-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC) put all 185-pound fighters on notice once again when he overwhelmed and submitted Dolidze (14-5 MMA, 8-5 UFC) in the fourth round at UFC Apex in Las Vegas. He’s now put together a winning streak to the tune of eight in a row, and afterward he called for a championship fight.
Dricus Du Plessis, who puts gold on the line against Khamzat Chimaev on Saturday in the UFC 319 headliner, gave praise to “Fluffy” after the fight. However, it remains to be seen how everything will unfold in a middleweight division with growing intrigue.
