Whether it was an early stoppage or not, Derrick Lewis left UFC on ESPN 70 with a main event win over Tallison Teixeira and more history on his record.

Lewis (29-12 MMA, 20-10 UFC) added to his all-time KO/TKO record inside the octagon when he put away Teixeira (8-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) with strikes just 35 seconds into the heavyweight bout at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., and now he’s suddenly back on a winning streak.

“The Black Beast” is one of few ranked names who has yet to share the cage with reigning heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall. He said post-fight he wants to make one final title run, and it might be more realistic than it appears on the surface.
