Who’s next for Dricus Du Plessis after Khamzat Chimaev loss?
MMA Junkie’s Mike Bohn plays matchmaker and looks ahead to what makes sense for Dricus Du Plessis in this edition of “Sean Shelby’s Shoes.”
The Dricus Du Plessis championship era was brought to a halt Saturday at UFC 319 courtesy of Khamzat Chimaev.
Du Plessis (23-3 MMA, 9-1 UFC) was handily beaten by Chimaev (15-0 MMA, 9-0 UFC) in the form of a unanimous decision at United Center in Chicago, ending his reign as middleweight titleholder with two defenses under his belt.
With almost no moments of success in the fight, Du Plessis is highly unlikely to get an immediate rematch and will have to regroup. Where does he go, though?
