Wisconsin announced a change to its 2026 and 2027 football schedules on Friday. The program added a 2026 nonconference home game against Eastern Michigan, plus pushed its neutral site game against Pittsburgh back to the 2027 campaign.
The Badgers‘ updated 2026 and 2027 nonconference schedules are as follows:

-
2026: vs. Notre Dame (Lambeau Field), vs. Western Illinois, vs. Eastern Michigan,
-
2027: vs. Pittsburgh (Dublin, Ireland), vs. Southern Illinois, vs. Colorado State
Wisconsin will also play conference foes Michigan State, Rutgers, Minnesota and USC at home in 2026, and visit Iowa, Maryland, Penn State, Purdue and UCLA.
Luke Fickell’s team will be looking to redirect the program’s trajectory against that listed slate of opponents. The program has missed a bowl game in consecutive seasons, including a recent 4-8 2025 campaign. The good news is that the team misses Ohio State, Oregon, Michigan and Indiana in 2026. However, an easier schedule won’t mean much if the program continues its current form.
Wisconsin is set for a busy winter transfer cycle, with an incoming high school class of only 14 recruits and several glaring roster holes. In all likelihood, that transfer class will decide Fickell’s future with the program.
