Wisconsin football landed a commitment from Hope College transfer edge rusher Liam Danitz on Friday.
The veteran defender entered the portal on Jan. 8 after four seasons at Hope College. He redshirted as a true freshman in 2022, then appeared in 31 total games over the following three seasons. The talented pass-rusher tallied an impressive 98 total tackles, 39 1/2 for loss, 27 sacks, one forced fumble and one pass deflection during that playing time. His best season came as a senior in 2025: 46 tackles, 21 for loss, 15 sacks and two fumble recoveries.

The West Branch, Michigan, native joins the Badgers with a final year of eligibility remaining. He’s listed as a three-star transfer by 247Sports, though he doesn’t have a specific transfer or position ranking.
Danitz is Wisconsin’s 28th commitment of the 2026 transfer cycle. That group now ranks No. 19 nationally, according to On3.
