The Washington Wizards have surfaced as a potentially serious trade destination for Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young. If this deal were to come to fruition, it would reportedly be centered around guard C.J. McCollum’s expiring contract.
It’s been a rough start to the 2025-26 season for Young, who has played in just 10 games due to a knee injury. Young hasn’t played since Dec. 27 in a loss to the New York Knicks, where he scored 9 points, dished out 10 assists, but had 6 turnovers. He missed the entire month of November, and the Hawks went 10-5 without their four-time All-Star.
