WNBA guard gets another chance after being cut 3 times this year

by

It’s been a crazy year for WNBA guard Grace Berger, who began 2025 on the Indiana Fever but has since played for three different teams across the league. Berger was claimed off waivers by the Minnesota Lynx in February, but was subsequently waived during training camp.

Then, the former No. 7 pick signed with the Los Angeles Sparks in June, only to be released three days later. Berger signed a seven-day contract with the Dallas Wings on July 16th, and while she was released on Wednesday, the team announced she signed a second seven-day contract with the Wings on Thursday.

Through all the back-and-forths, Berger appeared in just two games this season. In her first two seasons with the Fever, she averaged 3.7 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 13.3 minutes.

The Dallas Wings have the league’s second-worst record at 7-17, and currently have 12 active players on the roster (guard Ty Harris is out for the season with a knee injury):
