The Storm, on the other hand, got back to winning ways in this one and have improved to 15-10 on the season. This victory was thanks in large part to another strong performance from seven-time All-Star Skylar Diggins, who went off for a game-high 21 points on 7-of-14 shooting, to go along with seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks and three triples in just 25 minutes of action.
After the game, the WNBA announced Diggins as the game’s Top Performer.
“Skylar Diggins stuffed the stat sheet in the @seattlestorm’s 38-PT win vs. the Chicago Sky 🔥” the league posted on X.

Angel Reese Sits Out Thursday’s Game for the Chicago Sky
The Sky felt the absence of two-time All-Star Angel Reese in this one. The 23-year-old was ruled out of the game shortly before tip-off due to a back injury. This appears to be a new issue for Reese, who looked fine in Tuesday’s loss to the Minnesota Lynx.
Chicago head coach Tyler Marsh said after the game that Reese is day-to-day. He also hinted at the possibility of Reese returning for the Sky’s next game, which comes in the form of a rivalry matchup against the Indiana Fever on Sunday.

It does not seem like fans will get to witness the latest chapter of the Angel Reese-Caitlin Clark rivalry on Sunday, though, with the Fever superstar still dealing with a lingering groin injury. Clark has no timetable to return yet after sitting out for a third consecutive game on Thursday, and it appears that she will be watching Sunday’s clash from the sidelines.
