WNBA fans are thinking of star guard Skylar Diggins on Monday.
Diggins, 35, is going through a hard time personally. The former Notre Dame Fighting Irish star, who plays for the Seattle Storm of the Women’s National Basketball Association, had a big 2025 season. She averaged 15.5 points, 6.0 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game for the Storm.

But off of the court, Diggins is going through a hard time. Diggins and her husband, former Notre Dame wide receiver Daniel Smith, married in 2017. The couple has two children together. But they separated in November of 2024 and officially got divorced earlier in 2025.

Diggins announced on Monday that she’s been doing her best to be strong for herself and her children.
“Been doing everything BY MYSLF (sic) for over a year now,” Diggins said. “Just me and my babies (and the help of my mom/dad.) THAT’S IT!”
