“With the interest we have seen, holding the women’s Final Four in a larger venue in Indianapolis is a natural next step,” Amanda Braun, athletic director at Milwaukee and chair of the committee, said.

The women’s NCAA tournament will continue to use campus sites for First Four and first- and second-round games. In a news release, the committee said 85% of survey respondents favored keeping campus sites as opposed to using predetermined sites for the first week of the tournament.

The committee also noted 14.6% attendance increase in the regional round, which for the past three tournaments has included two regionals at each of two sites.
