SummerSlam 2025 at MetLife Stadium packed in a staggering 113,722 fans over two nights in New Jersey β and now WWE is reportedly looking to make that format a much bigger part of its future.
Media personality Andrew Baydala, who previously broke news about WrestleMania returning to Las Vegas, took to Twitter/X to share what heβs been hearing from inside WWE/TKO about the reaction to the eventβs success.
βFollowing the success of SummerSlam in New Jersey this past weekend, the discussion of hosting more two-night events has intensified within WWE/TKO. With an earlier start/finish time, impressive revenue, and attendance numbers, itβs clear that the two-night format resonated well with fans. TKO/WWE appears to be capitalizing on this success, as plans are already underway to introduce more two-night Premium Live Events (PLEs) in 2026.β
According to Baydala, Survivor Series 2026 and the Royal Rumble in 2027 are at the top of the list for this expanded format, with Money in the Bank also under serious consideration.
If WWE moves forward, it could mean a major shift in how some of the companyβs biggest annual events are experienced β both live in the arena and for fans watching at home.
