WWE Has Completely Gone Silent on NXT Europe

by

There have been plenty of mixed opinions when it comes to WWE finally launching NXT Europe, since there’s just been no movement there at all. Unfortunately, the brand might never see the light of day now.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported on the current status of NXT Europe. He noted that internally, there is basically no talk about NXT Europe at all. So it’s clear NXT Europe really isn’t a priority for the company whatsoever.

“In WWE, virtually all talk about NXT Europe is non-existent.”

WWE announced NXT Europe in 2022 after ending NXT UK. The goal was to rebuild the brand and create more chances for European wrestlers. Because of this change, many NXT UK wrestlers were let go, but the plan was delayed for a long time.

Even though Triple H previously claimed that NXT Europe was still in the works despite its long delay, it’s become pretty evident that we might never see this plan come to fruition at all now.

What was once promoted as a big step in WWE’s global expansion now seems to be slipping away. Unless WWE changes its priorities, NXT Europe may stay as just an idea that never moves beyond the planning stage and fans should just accept that fact right now.

Do you think WWE should still invest in NXT Europe, or has the opportunity for a European brand already passed? Sound off in the comments.
