According to Programming Insider, the show drew 583,000 total viewers and scored a 0.03 rating in the P18–49 demographic, ranking #1 in its half-hour timeslot. These numbers are down from the December 9 episode, which brought in 647,000 viewers and a 0.09 demo rating.

The December 16th edition of NXT saw Thea Hail beating Blake Monroe to become the NXT Women’s North American Champion after a botched finish.
A #1 Contender’s Fatal 4-Way for the NXT Title took place, which saw DarkState’s Dion Lennox vs. Myles Borne vs. Joe Hendry vs. TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater. In the end, Slater won the match and earned the right to challenge Oba Femi for the NXT Title.
