WWE has quietly dropped the “Vega” from Zelina Vega’s name, and Ringside News spotted the change first.
The WWE.com roster page now lists her simply as “Zelina,” with no mention of her last name in the header. Her updated bio still celebrates her career accomplishments, from winning the inaugural Queen’s Crown Tournament to capturing tag team gold with Carmella, but the Vega branding is gone without explanation.

This kind of name alteration has become standard operating procedure in WWE, with numerous stars getting the single-name treatment over the years. And while it hasn’t been addressed on television yet, the move seems official based on the company’s own website.
Zelina has remained a strong presence on SmackDown since her return to the blue brand. Most recently, she defeated Chelsea Green on the April 25, 2025 episode to win the WWE Women’s United States Championship — her first singles title in WWE.
Whether or not the name tweak signals a bigger change in direction remains to be seen. For now, Zelina continues her run with the LWO and shows no signs of slowing down.
