WWE referee Charles Robinson has taken some hard hits in his career, but even he wasn’t ready for the power behind Bill Goldberg’s spear.
At 61 years old, Robinson is still going full throttle, and this weekend it landed him in the X-ray room after Goldberg steamrolled him during his retirement match against GUNTHER at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Robinson jumped on Instagram to show off the aftermath, posting an image of his bruised ribs along with a message that shows he’s still got plenty of fight left.
“Thanks Bill Goldberg,” Robinson wrote. “Never fear…I am ALL MAN and I can’t be kept down!”
Despite the injury, the veteran official made it clear he’s not sitting out for long.
“I will return for WWE SmackDown next week in San Antonio.”
This isn’t the first time Robinson has taken a big hit lately. Just a few weeks ago, he sprinted to the ring at WWE Night Of Champions only to get crushed by a pounce from John Cena. For most referees, one bump like that would be enough. But for “Lil Naitch,” it’s just another day on the job.
Charles Robinson continues to prove why he’s one of WWE’s most respected referees, even if it means taking spears and pounces from the biggest names in the business.
