The October 3, 2025 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown had plenty of buzz going into it, including the long-teased split between The Miz and Carmelo Hayes finally happening after weeks of rising tension. Despite the drama and in-ring action, this week’s episode saw a decline in overall viewership.
According to Programming Insider, the October 3 edition of WWE SmackDown on USA Network averaged 1.030 million viewers, down from the 1.238 million viewers recorded on September 26, 2025. In the key P18–49 demographic, the show scored a 0.23 rating, a drop from last week’s 0.35 rating.

This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown featured a lot of memorable moments and that included Carmelo Hayes and the Miz finally breaking up. Before Hayes faced Sami Zayn for the US Title, he dumped the Miz and this led to the Miz eventually attacking Hayes, which led to Aleister Black replacing Hayes in the match.
Solo Sikoa also teased adding more members to MFT, making it clear the group is far from over. This and many other moments took place throughout the night.
