WWE’s strict comp ticket policy is no longer just a backstage complaint—it’s becoming a contractual battleground.
After Rikishi publicly voiced his frustration over not being able to get complimentary tickets for his family, several WWE stars have already started negotiating comp ticket access directly into their contracts. The frustration stems from WWE’s quiet policy shift over the last year. The company has significantly scaled back on comp tickets, offering talent only the option to purchase them at a preferential rate—no longer handing them out freely.
One unnamed top WWE star reportedly told others, “If you’re gonna complain about it, work it into your deal.” According to Fightful Select, that advice didn’t fall on deaf ears. The outlet reported:
“We’re told that several WWE talent have worked [comp tickets] into their deals now, and many expect it to be a standard request.”
Rikishi’s comments on his podcast helped push the conversation into the public eye. He also explained that even with a Legends contract, he’s no longer able to secure seats easily.
“There are no comp tickets. I can maybe try to get a discount, but I don’t know what a discount is nowadays. A ,000 ticket is still a lot.”
“Even my family members—now we can’t even… they usually call me for tickets, but it’s too difficult now.”
With demand for WWE tickets at an all-time high, the company’s stance has been firm: fewer freebies, more revenue. But talent are fighting back in the one place it counts—on paper.
