Ludwig Kaiser began portraying El Grande Americano back in June after Chad Gable took time off due to injury. Kaiser’s been a highlight on WWE and AAA since then and now WWE’s internal reaction to Kaiser’s run as El Grande Americano has been revealed.
According to BodySlam.net, WWE officials are very impressed with Ludwig Kaiser’s version of El Grande Americano and feel he may be a better fit for the gimmick than Chad Gable. This doesn’t mean Gable failed in the role since he had success under the mask, but many believe Kaiser has added more to the character in a short amount of time.
This comes after we have already reported that Ludwig Kaiser is set to receive a major push as El Grande Americano in AAA moving forward. He’s already competed for the AAA Mega Championship last month and he’ll compete during an upcoming AAA show this month as well.
With WWE and AAA both giving him focus, Ludwig Kaiser’s star is clearly shining really bright. The big question is whether this momentum will last when Chad Gable returns from injury, or if Kaiser has already made himself the true face of El Grande Americano.
