The November 17th edition of WWE RAW saw Giants running back Cam Skattebo get involved in a scuffle at the show and now WWE’s reaction to the angle has been revealed.
According to WrestleVotes, New York sports media has been all over Cam Skattebo’s appearance on Monday Night RAW, where he showed up with other Giants rookies. It’s been the number one topic on both ESPN New York and WFAN all day. A WWE source also said they were happy with how the segment turned out.
“The NY sports media has had a frenzy covering Cam Skattebo’s appearance on Monday Night Raw last night alongside fellow Giants rookies. Its been the number one topic discussed today on both ESPN New York & WFAN. WWE source I texted today said they were pleased with the angle.”
During Monday Night Raw at Madison Square Garden, Cam Skattebo, who is currently out with an ankle injury, got physical with the Judgment Day. He was sitting ringside with his teammates and comedian Andrew Schulz and enjoying the show.
However, Finn Bálor, JD McDonagh, and Dominik Mysterio walked over to them after losing their match to John Cena, Rey Mysterio, and Sheamus. Things then got heated fast as Skattebo shoved JD McDonagh to the ground, which started a brief scuffle at ringside before security stepped in to break it up. The crowd went crazy over the unexpected moment.
Cam Skattebo’s moment on RAW gave the show a ton of hype and caught the attention of major New York sports media. WWE is great at creating crossover moments that reach more than just wrestling fans, and Skattebo’s appearance is another example of how well that strategy works. So we’ll have to see if this angle will lead to a payoff in the future.
