The NXT brand is always bringing a lot to the table. Next week’s episode of NXT will continue that trend, and fans should be excited about what they are bringing to the table.
The October 14 episode of WWE NXT was a fun night on The CW, and they booked a few things for next week in the process. The October 21 episode of WWE NXT will have a few matches that will be worth tuning into. That will include the start of a new tournament.
WWE fans just saw the WWE Speed Women’s Championship Tournament. Now it’s the men’s turn. During NXT this week, General Manager Ava announced that a men’s tournament will started next week. The winner will go on to face the WWE Speed Men’s Champion.
El Grande Americano is the current WWE Speed Men’s Champion. The full brackets were not announced for the tournament yet, but it could be an exciting thing to watch unfold.
The first round of the WWE Speed Title Number One Contender’s Tournament featured two opening matches. In the first, Axiom from SmackDown faced Sean Legacy representing Evolve. The second match saw Jasper Troy from NXT take on Zachary Wentz from TNA as the tournament continued to determine who would move closer to a title opportunity.
Leon Slater will also defend the X-Division Title against Channing Lorenzo next week. That should be a great match. A contract signing between Trick Williams and Ricky Saints for their NXT Title match at Halloween Havoc will also go down next week.
Also, after their return this week on NXT, OTM will have a match. Hank Walker & Tank Ledger vs. OTM is booked for next week’s show. We will have to see how things pan out, but we’re excited about next week.
